Bachelorette Party Planning

What you need to know when planning a Bachelorette Party.

1) Who Throws the party?
Anyone can throw the bachelorette party. Typically the Maid of Honor and or Bridesmaids throw it or are involved. If all the maids chip in the cost can be split.

2) Who should be invited?
All the bride's closest friends. Anyone invited to the shower must be invited to the wedding, but this isn't always the case for the bachelorette party.

3) When is the party thrown?
NOT the night before the wedding, this is when the rehearsal dinner is anyway. Plus, you don't want the bride hung over for the wedding. Two to three weekends before is best.

4) What to include in invite?
Date, time, place, etc... Make sure to include info on if girls need to bring cab fair or have a ride home. You can do a hard invite or a e-vite both are acceptable.

5) What to do?
There is a lot you can do. You can go themed like a Spa party and make it a day long affair. Most times there is dinner and bar hopping. Keep in mind what the bride enjoys. Ask her what she wants to do.

6) What to keep in mind?
Remember is you are planning a dinner, hotel, car service, or spa appointment, make reservations several weeks ahead, especially for large groups. If you are planning something that needs a reservation make sure to put a RSVP date on the invite and stick to it, you need definite numbers for reservations. Make sure everyone knows if costs are being split and if they are paying for themselves. Make sure everyone has a ride home, cab fair, or a place to spend the night. Also, keep in mind the party host needs to provide trinkets for the bride and group like boas, tiaras, sashes, etc...

Have fun with it, but plan ahead or it will all catch up to you.
